The five-sector structure (2026–2030)
The 2026–2030 reorganization: five sectors and 13 departments, endorsed by the Council in March 2025 and in force since January 2026 with Mark Thomson as Director-General. ATS (Brüning) keeps the accelerator chain stable through LS3; Site Operations (Capeáns) plays the COO; FHR (Brouwer) holds finance and people; SRS (Bassler) faces the Member States; and rcs-sector holds the science — and IT.
