The four pillars of the IT strategy
The 2022–2025 strategy defines the department by four roles: Provider (stable, cost-competitive common services), Optimiser (consolidate, kill redundancy, retire technical debt), Pioneer (computing models for HL-LHC and FCC), Connector (open-source collaboration and impact — openlab, Open Science). Everything the department runs should be traceable to one of the four.
