Data Privacy Impact Assessment

A DPIA is the mechanism that moves privacy from audit to design: before a processing activity starts, its risks are assessed and documented. Its procedure is one of the elements OC11 Rev.1 set out to clarify — an admission that the obligation existed but the path to fulfilling it was not clear enough to follow.
