The Meyrin Data Centre

The historical heart of CERN computing and the site of the WLCG Tier-0 obligation, now working alongside the newer prevessin-computing-centre. Two centres rather than one is not redundancy for its own sake: it is what lets capacity be added, and hardware retired, without interrupting an experiment that runs for years at a time.
