LHCOPN — LHC Optical Private Network

The LHCOPN/LHCONE project site. (The working area also lives on the CERN TWiki, which is slower and intermittently unreachable.)

What it anchors

• LHCOPN links CERN to all the WLCG Tier-1s with dedicated connections for LHC data distribution.
• LHCONE extends the model to the Tier-2 community as an overlay service, implemented as an L3VPN with VRF, deployed by around 40 national, regional and intercontinental R&E network operators and connecting more than 150 sites on four continents.
